Today students got to hear a special presentation from Paralympian Zach Miller. Zach was born with cerebral palsy and discovered snowboarding through the sports program at the Children’s Hospital in Denver. He has since become a two-time World Champion, a six-time World Championship medalist, and a two timer Paralympian.
In telling his story, Zach focused on the importance of resilience and never giving up. He led students in chanting a quote from fellow Paralympian Chris Waddell:
“It’s not what happens to you. It’s what you do with what happens to you.”
He encouraged students to never give up and make the most of their situation.
