Good evening, Glacier Hills families,

This is just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 4th.  We hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day Holiday.

Last week was a busy week at Glacier Hills.  We held our first fire drill, and the staff and students did a great job. Nurse Renee also held our yearly vision and hearing screening, those students that did not pass will get a letter from her. Lastly, the district testers came to hold our fall benchmark testing in reading and math.  Those results will be shared with parents at parent teacher conferences at the end of the month.

We would like to thank Alta View Hospital for donating the student T-shirts given to every student on the first day of school.  Alta View is a fantastic partner to Glacier Hills, and we greatly appreciate their generosity and support. We would also like to thank the PTA and Maxi’s Deli for each providing a lunch to our staff during our teacher trainings the week before school started.  The staff was well fed, and we are so appreciative.

School pictures are this Wednesday September 6th.  Please see the following order form.

Spirit Wear: The PTA has taken on selling Spirit Wear apparel this year.  This is not a fundraiser; it is just a courtesy to our community.  We would like to send a big thank you for organizing this awesome order.

PTA News:
Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday, September 5th at 9:15 in room 201, upstairs across from the library.  All are welcome to join!  If you are bringing small children, we ask that you bring something for them to sit and do quietly.

We like everyone to have a voice on our PTA, even if you are not able to volunteer time. Be a member!!

The more members we have the more grants, awards and prizes we earn for our school! And the stronger voice we have in advocating for our children!

We are just EIGHT members away from earning our SECOND membership award for the year!
