Career day is quickly approaching! We are in need of parent volunteers!
On Friday, Nov 4 at 9am and we need 24 more volunteers! This is a simple way to volunteer at Glacier Hills!
WHAT I AM COMMITTING TO?
*Four – 15 minute sessions – including your child’s classroom
*Presenters will speak 15 minutes in first session then rotate and repeat in three more sessions
WHAT DO I TALK ABOUT?
Here are some ideas on what to talk about. Presenters will also receive an email with this information.
-What does a typical day look like.
-Special projects.
-Interesting/funny stories.
-Explain how you use the tools, props, visuals, pictures, that you may have brought to showcase your career.
-Help students make the connection between your career and academic subjects (math, science, English, etc.).
-Make sure all content and materials are age appropriate.
-Time for Q&A
