SCC Chair Update & Calendar – no updates

Next Year SCC board

            Julie Johansen will be leaving as her studentis moving to 6th Grade

            Tyler Smith will be leaving as his student is moving to 6th Grade

            School staff – Jessica Mitchell and Jamie Uncapher leaving 

Returning Members  Hallie, Sarah, Katie, Stephanie, Auri

Chair for Next Year – if no one else is interested Katie Hughes will do it again

Canceling May’s meeting – This was put to a vote Hallie Wilkins

Seconded – Sarah Heaton

Unanimous Vote to cancel

First meeting of the 2024-2025 school year – Sept. 4th at 5:15

Safety Drills 

  • This month is April – Great shake out
  • May will be drill of choice – we will do a Secure Drill

District Focus Items – Andrew Edtl and Karen Pedersen (Board of Education)

  • Bus Study by the district – adding 10 minutes to the end of the day next year
  • School will end at 3:45 Monday- Thursday and 1:55 on Friday   

Member Concerns/ Comments – 

Time is needed for Special Education teachers to plan

Equity in schools – discussion about size and allocations
