SCC Chair Update & Calendar – no updates

Safety Drills 

• Unable to do carbon monoxide drill because of snow, will happen next week.
• Next month is April – Great shake out

Review of the Safe Walking routes response from the city

• Routes have been approved
• Crosswalk will be repainted on Galenia and Flint in the Spring
• Widening sidewalk at Sego Lily and 730 East (Bulb out)

Review, revise, and approve TSSP/Land Trust Plan

• Been good about running a toll to make sure we have correct funding
• Taking 2 more teachers to AVID, after next year we will have all of our teachers AVID trained
• New Art booster, new recess aides, 2 math interventionist

TSSP/Land Trust

• ELA 
• 70% of students will make typical or higher growth
• Land trust – $42,000
• TSSP – $35,000
• Total – $77,000
• Implement 95% core word study for 4th and 5th Grades, school wide reading incentive program, utilizing interventionists, AVID Professional Development
• 2 Planning Days – October, April
• Staying with Core Lexia for another year 

• MATH 
• Goal 80% of students will make typically or higher growth on Math
• Land Trust – 46,000
• TSSP – 7,600
• Total – 53,600
• Implement use of math manipulatives to support CRA (concrete, representational, abstract), ST Math, math interventionists, school wide, math interventionists, continue the use of Mystery Science, increase students opportunities to engage in STEAM activities through before and after school activities 
• School Climate
• Goal 92% of students will be on track with attendance
• Land Trust – 0
• TSSP – 73,500
• Total – 73,500
• Attendance is a struggle right now over 66% of students is critical due to absent, struggling with tardies, on time incentives, attendance incentives, home visit for those students who are chronically absent, Big push on attendance (will help with skills), PBIS rewards, Recess aides.
• Book Blitz – will happen next year, thanks to PTA
• Julie sent around sheet to sign to approve the plan

District Focus Items – Andrew Edtl (Board of Education)

• Legislature Passed over 100 education bills
• White CIty will either be a city or become part of Sandy
• School Safety Bill is being worked on 
• Approved the Booster Planning time, adding AP’s across the district 
• Therapy Dog Policy – Julie and Jamie will begin working on a policy   

Positive Behavior

• Morning meetings
• Implement thrive time
• Digital citizenship
• Positive behavior 
• Communicate with parents through letters, phone calls, email
• PBIS rewards 

We have done everything we had planned for the Positive Behavior

Funding:

Anotonio has be funded so we will have him for another year

Have a 3rd recess aid for next year
